Convert A Quote Into An Order

John Smith|June 7, 2021

You can make numerous quotes for one of your customers. The SmartQuote software gives you different ways to manage the status of quotes and committed customer orders, before you place the official order with our factory.

How To Place An Order To The Factory

Once you have added line items to your order and have pressed “Save” to make sure the pricing has fully calculated, you may place the order. To place an order simple click on the “Send to Factory” menu icon located on the grey secondary navigation bar. Here you will select the “Confirm and Send Dealer Order to Factory” to submit the order for production at our factory.

Once you press this button a pop-up window will appear that asks which address you want the order shipped to.  If you select “Customer Adress” job site delivery fees will be added to the quote costs per our freight policy.  The other two “Dealer Addresses” should be the same, so you can select either.

Once you complete this step, the order has been placed.  You will have 24 hours to call in if there are any changes, then within another 24 hours, you should get a confirmation including a ship date.  Thank you for your business!

How To Create A New Order With The Same Line Items For A Second Release

If you need to do an identical release at a later date, you can click on the three vertical dots located to the right of the grey secondary navigation bar. This will produce a drop-down menu where you can click on the “New Document from Current” to create a new identical quote.

If you create the new document, it will auto-populate the customer information and line items from the original order. Please be careful as you use this option, that you don’t accidentally reorder the same quote.  We expect this capability will be particularly helpful on commercial projects where the releases may be identical products but sequenced by floor or elevation.
